what's with this wonder wax i keep hearing about?

is it clean? (this is my bikini line we're talking about here.)
Let's just say our stance on sanitation borders on OCD. All of our estheticians wear gloves when performing bikini waxes, and we never double dip in the wax so it stays germ free. To put it bluntly: you're not sharing wax (or germs) with the last bikini-baring guest.

is it going to hurt? i've heard horror stories!
We're not saying a bikini wax is a walk in the park, but trust us: after doing about a bazillion Brazilians, we've got the 'painless-as-possible' thing down pat, and have mastered all sorts of techniques to minimize the 'ouch' factor.

i expect?
Don't worry—we've seen it all, and we mean that in every sense of the word. Before your wax, you'll receive a hygienic wipe and disposable underwear to add a modicum of modesty, and we'll never make you feel like you're playing a game of Twister. Just relax and think to yourself, 'hair' goes nothing!

basic, betweeny™, brazilian – how is a girl to choose?
It's totally up to you which style of fuzz you fancy. A basic bikini wax removes any hair from the edges that would peek out of a standard bikini bottom. A betweeny™ wax brings those edges in even further and takes a little off the top. A brazilian wax is the 'barest' of them all, removing everything underneath, behind and most (if not all) off the front. Have a particular 'hair'-style in mind? Use the handy chart in your treatment room to show your tech. Just make sure to arrive at least 15 minutes before your apppoinment so you have enough time to get ready and decide which is the right 'do' for you.

what should i do for upkeep between waxes?
To prevent ingrown hairs, you should exfoliate with any Bliss scrub (hot salt scrub is always a favorite) in the shower starting the day after your wax. Then be sure to follow with our ingrown eliminating pads each day. If you need to groom any stray strands, try our poetic waxing at-home hair removal kit (now in a convenient microwaveable cup) or the bliss/philips bikini perfect hair trimming kit. Both are great for DIY maintenance, but we suggest leaving full Brazilians to the 'wax'-perts at our spa!
