For a film set in the 1940's, red lipstick is practically a prerequisite—and when master makeup artist Julie Hewett couldn't find the right ruby for her starlets' smooches on the set of Pearl Harbor, she simply created it herself. This ingenuity led to the launch of her Noir Collection, a tomato-tinted range that even gals who dread red can rock. From there, her brand blossomed, based around the concept of classic cosmetics with a modern twist.
