From the moment 10-year old Alexis began selling flowers from a cart by his Brooklyn home—then spent the profits on photo equipment for a stint as a shutterbug—it was clear he had an artistic eye. On a NYC street corner in 1988, he launched his first line of jewelry made from vintage glass and chandelier parts. From there, his career began to �sparkle�. He went on to develop his signature Lucite look, and his trendy trinkets were seen everywhere from Saks to Sex and the City. In 2004, he opened his first store in Soho—two blocks from where he had started 16 years earlier.
