These shoes look great, and I definitely felt my calves being more engaged as soon as I put them on. I have not moved on to the more advanced insole yet, but the level that comes in the shoe is challenging to start with. The only drawback is that the sole is very hard so I feel like I am missing some of that cushion you get from other athletic shoes.

I have been wearing these shoes to physical therapy as I have recently experienced a torn achilles tendon. The therapist remarked about the quality of the shoes. only downfall is the heel structure is higher than is comfortable for my particular injury.
